A Better Quality Sleep with Magnesium

Magnesium Explained: it is a poly-active essential mineral and is important to many body functions. It can help with blood sugar regulation, bone health, sleep, boosts mood, muscle and nerve function and metabolism.

Magnesium and Sleep

Magnesium helps to calm the nervous system. It calms the body and mind before bed and allows for a deep and replenished sleep allowing you to wake up refreshed. It activates the part of the brain responsible to help you sleep, while inhibiting the parts of the brain that keep you awake and conscious.

Sources of Magnesium

The best natural sources of Magnesium: Dark leafy greens, legumes, nuts, seeds, wheat germ, fish, avocados, soybeans.

Consuming a lot of processed fats, refined sugars, salt, synthetic sweeteners, or caffeine hinders your body’s ability to absorb magnesium.

Signs of Deficiency

Most common signs include poor sleep, fatigue, heart palpitations or an irregular heartbeat.

However, it can be very difficult to know when you are deficient and the best way to confirm this is by visiting your GP and getting a blood test.
