Back to School Top Tips!

August can be a very overwhelming month for parents to prepare everything for children to go back to school.  At PharmacyStore we want to ease the stress by giving you helpful tips for getting organised for going back to school.

Setting Up a Routine

Set up a routine a week before the commencement of the school academic year to ease the process. This should include morning routines, nighttime routines, sleeping schedule, start breakfast at a school daytime so it will be easier to change over when school starts.

Make Daily Habits a Fun Activity

Make getting ready for school a fun activity for your kids. Create a picture chart that outlines all the tasks they must do before it is time to leave for school. This list should include Brushing your Teeth, Shoes and Jacket, Lunch and Bag etc. When each task is completed, your child can stick a smiley face next to the task.

Make First Day Memorable

Plan to treat your child to their favourite breakfast on their first day back to school. Try and prepare everything you can the night before! This will make them look forward to the morning.

Stock Up on Lunches

Plan the lunches and snacks for the week ahead of time and have your fridge prepared accordingly! This will eliminate you stressing and going to the shop mid-week.

Dedicated Space

Plan out where the homework area will be, where their schoolbag is to be placed, where the jacket and shoes will go etc. Prepare a quiet room with a desk where they can concentrate on their work without distractions.

Prepare for Flu Season

Going back to school means going back to cold and flu season. To prepare for going back to the classroom, parents should start boosting children’s immune system beforehand to minimise the spread of viruses and infections. Multivitamins are a great way to enhance the vitamins and minerals kids get from their food. They are ideal for fussy eaters. We have a variety of vitamins that can help parents prepare for this season.
